Past is gone so fast! This page talks about some of my past education and academic work.

I have done my complete schooling in a small town called Roorkee, located in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand. My first school was Adarsh Bal Niketan, for nursery. Then I moved to St. Ann's School for lower and upper kindergarten, after which I joined St. Gabriel's Academy where I completed the rest of my schooling of twelve years. After the tenth standard, I opted for science stream and was among the very few who took the combination of Math and Biology, apart from other compulsory courses in sciences and English literature.

Following the crowd, at the end of my twelfth standard, I wrote some competitive examinations for engineering including the Joint Entrance Examination, and to my absolute surprise, I got through it! Hence I landed at the gateway of North-East India, Guwahati, where I spent the next four years of my life doing undergraduation in computer science and engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. I also spent three months of summer after third year at Linköping University in Sweden for an internship at the Computational Biology group.

After graduation, I took a break from academics and joined the industry for a year and moved to the garden city in South India, Bangalore (which is now officially Bengaluru, but I prefer to call it Bangalore). For about three months, I was a research engineer at the Center for Development of Telematics. Unhappy with absolute no work, I shifted to Samsung India Software Operations for the next seven months.

To further my education, I joined the department of electrical and computer engineering at Iowa State University for masters degree in computer engineering, but then later converted to the doctoral program. The past story ends here and continues in present.
